PwC Pathway to Flying Start for Accounting and Technology apprenticeships

Launch yourself into the accounting or tech word with our PwC: Pathway to Flying Start programme. There are just a few remaining places available for Year 12 students, who identify as female or non-binary, on this initiative that supports young people to learn about the apprenticeship and degree apprenticeship opportunities available with PwC.

Flying Start is delivered over three immersive days (one day a term) at PwC offices in Manchester and Birmingham.

The first workshop in Manchester is 29 February 2024 and Birmingham kicks off the following week on 6 March - imagine stepping into a world of possibilities where you get to network with industry professionals, learn from students currently thriving in the programme, and gain firsthand insights into your desired career path.

Curious? Check out the taster VT here on Youtube for a sneak peek into what awaits you.

Navigating the application process can feel daunting, but fear not! The Talent Foundry is your ally throughout this exciting journey. Benefit from a crash-course on the application process, all while collaborating with like-minded peers at the PwC offices. This is your chance to gain inside knowledge and develop the skills needed to make your application stand out.

The entire programme is more than just a workshop - it's your pathway to real opportunities.

You have a very real chance to be recruited and join one of the fantastic PwC degree schemes which see students attending university, gaining a degree and securing work experience, with full or partial funding available. One student shared their experience:

“It provided me with a good insight into the life and work of an accountant, filling me with determination and desire to pursue to as a career in the future.”

The four-year Flying Start Accounting degree sees students at qualifying universities being paid a salary during their placement. Or for students taking part in the Flying Start Technology Degree Apprenticeship, with a year in industry, students are paid a salary throughout the apprenticeship.

There’s also a Manchester 'work first' tech degree apprenticeship option, which is a fully funded three-year 'work-first' model whereby participants will work full time at PwC in Manchester, in one of the tech teams, specialising in either Cyber Security, Data Analytics or Software Engineering.

Pathway to Flying Start programme is your ticket to a successful career in accounting or technology. The opportunities are real, the experiences are impactful, and your journey starts here. Don't miss out on this chance to spread your wings and soar to success.
