What's involved?

This free in-school career workshop, hosted in partnership with Pearson, offers students the opportunity to develop essential skills and explore career possibilities. Delivered by an experienced facilitator, with support from Pearson professionals, the workshop is designed to give students practical insights into the working world and prepare them for future success.

During this engaging three-hour session, available on the 27th, 28th of November or 4th December, students will:

  • Meet and engage with industry professionals to participate in carousel activities that enhance key career skills such as communication, problem-solving, and resilience.
  • Engage in networking exercises to build confidence and learn how to make professional connections.
  • Receive expert guidance on interview techniques, helping them feel prepared and confident in real-world scenarios.
  • Take part in mock interviews with over 15 recently hired professionals, each offering personalised feedback and mentorship.
  • Explore the Manchester job market and hear first-hand experiences from professionals about navigating the hiring process.

This workshop provides an invaluable opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience, learn from industry professionals, and develop skills that are directly transferable to both higher education and the workplace.
