Universities and higher education institutions

The number of young people from diverse backgrounds, including those from a low socio-economic background are still under-represented in higher education. Programmes such as ours can be the spark that young people need to consider applying.

We work with a wide range of university partners through our Powering Transformation programme with Dell Technologies and our NextGen Nurse programme with the NHS.

Through these programmes, young people from underserved groups are able to interact with university student ambassadors and teaching staff, while gaining valuable information about their potential pathways to university.

Improve your impact ranking

The Gatsby Benchmarks form part of the Department for Education (DfE) careers strategy, and lay out what a world-class career guidance system looks like.

Schools in underserved communities are particularly keen to engage with universities and HEI's to help reach this benchmark.

Our programmes can help you demonstrate a commitment to increase student numbers from under-represented backgrounds, and produce evidence that supports your impact ranking.

By the age of 16, every pupil should have had a meaningful encounter with providers of the full range of learning opportunities, including sixth forms, colleges, universities and apprenticeship providers

We develop bespoke programmes

Exposure to new careers and educational institutions can inspire young people when choosing their subject options at GCSE and A-levels.

We work in partnership with a number of universities on individual bespoke programmes, and develop these to help universities attract students from diverse backgrounds.

The programmes also gives university students valuable volunteering opportunities which can help them develop their personal portfolio in anticipation of their post-university career.
