FLOW - Future Leaders, Opportunities and Work
This programme offers employability support to students pursuing apprenticeships or looking to enter the world of work after school.
What's involved?
The programme offers care-experienced young people in Year 12/13 the opportunity to build professional networks, seek expert advice and guidance from positive role models, and increase their awareness about the diverse career opportunities available in and around Coventry.
Throughout the programme, participants will be supported by TTF facilitators and colleagues from Severn Trent to develop skills, build confidence, and enhance their aspirations. Students also engage with peers from other schools, learn about career routes they may not have known existed and acquire skills that will ultimately support their transition from education to meaningful employment.
This initiative is designed to support young people into a variety of different sectors or industries. During the programme, students will be supported to access meaningful employment opportunities including Severn Trent’s own apprenticeships.
Participation is not limited to those pursuing apprenticeships, and the programme is designed to benefit all students, regardless of their specific career goals.
Who's this suitable for?
This programme is specifically designed for care-experienced young people in Year 12/13, who are not planning on going to university. Additionally, we welcome applications for students who may face other forms of disadvantage including young carers or young people in receipt of the Sixth Form Bursary.
