Last month saw the culmination of our Powering Potential: Tees Valley programme, which is only possible due to the generous support of Dell Technologies.

Powering Potential helps students recognise the breadth of opportunities available to them in their local area, while developing key skills for the tech sector and the world of work. Students from colleges across the Tees Valley took part in the four-part programme, which was hosted at venues across the region – Teesside University, The BIS, Teesworks Skills Academy and the National Horizons Centre.

By connecting with Dell Technologies mentors and #Teesside businesses, students graduated the programme with an increased awareness of the range of opportunities available to them in the Tees Valley, a clearer understanding of their skills and attributes and increased confidence in their core transferable skills.

Crucial to the programme's success was the support provided by Dell mentors Duncan McInnes, Neil Winchester, Kieron Penny and Thomas Evans-Argent.

The amazing feedback we’ve received from students on the programme is a testament to how valuable opportunities and initiatives such as this are, and we’re very proud to have run this programme with such a bright and engaged group of students.

“The people involved were very friendly and supportive, and the development of our relationships with them over the sessions was life changing.”

Thank you to everyone who has been involved in making this programme such a success.

We are taking college and school bookings for next academic year, with only a few spaces remaining, so if you are keen to sign your students up, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
