10th February 2025 "Confidence is crucial"

Bridge participant, Trey, spoke to us ahead of National Apprenticeship Week 2025 to tell us about his growth and ambitions following the Bridge to M&G, pre-apprenticeship programme.
What has been the most valuable part of Bridge to M&G?
Networking has been an incredible experience. Meeting a CEO and professionals who have been in the industry for a long time was inspiring. It pushed me out of my comfort zone, as I don't usually engage in networking opportunities like that.
How has the programme helped you to grow?
I used to struggle with confidence, especially in situations like mock interviews. But during the programme, I learned that the best approach is to be confident and true to yourself. That really changed my perspective on interviews and professional interactions.
What are your career aspirations now?
I want to work in the finance sector, possibly as a data analyst or investment banker. It's a highly competitive industry, and confidence is crucial. The programme has helped me develop my skills and believe in my abilities, which I know will be essential for my future career.
What would you say to someone considering joining a Bridge programme?
Sign up immediately! The difference between the person I was at the beginning of the programme and who I am now is huge. I’ve developed so much, and I know others will too. You won’t regret it - you’ll love it 100%!
