18th December 2024 Empowering future talent in cyber security and coding

Last week, 21 students aspiring to careers in Finance, Fintech, Investment, Coding, or Cyber Security had the incredible opportunity to attend M&G plc’s Stirling office to take part in a Coding & Engineering: Cyber Security Masterclass.

The masterclass was expertly developed and hosted by M&G's Coding and Cyber Security teams in collaboration with The Talent Foundry, and was delivered last week for the second time this academic year due to high demand from schools and students across Scotland's Central Belt!

The session was packed with hands-on activities, allowing students to step into the shoes of coding and cyber security professionals. Through group exercises, they tackled real-world scenarios like responding to security incidents, gaining valuable insight into how these vital roles work in practice.

Students:

• Explored different career pathways in coding and cyber security.
• Applied new skills in a professional setting.
• Learnt directly from M&G’s talented volunteers about the critical role these fields play in the modern world.

This masterclass is part of an ongoing series developed through M&G plc’s 11-year partnership with The Talent Foundry, which is aimed at equipping students across the country with the specialist knowledge and confidence to thrive in their career journeys.
