Fuelled by passion and driven by purpose, The Talent Foundry (TTF) and their corporate partners are gearing up for another epic sponsored bike ride.

Except this year, they’re doubling the challenge.

Over three days this September (26-28), enthusiastic cyclists will tackle a challenging 260-mile route from Prague to Munich. TTF is seeking participants and and sponsors to join the ride, with all funds raised supporting their vision to spark potential and unlock opportunities for young people from underserved communities across the UK.

Last year’s cycle challenge, from Copenhagen to Berlin in September 2024 raised an impressive £54,462.

Participants included representatives from platinum sponsors Morgan Sindall Construction, Reds10 and Willmott Dixon with ambassadors from the Department for Education, gold sponsors - Flywheel IT services and Nexus Associates, and supporters from Wates Group, Matt MacDonald and DBE Services.

Starting in Copenhagen, the group cycled through the picturesque Danish and German countryside, braving 40 mph winds and relentless rain. Despite the conditions, participants said they enjoyed the test of grit and determination. This year, they are remaining optimistic for smoother weather conditions, but a lot more hills!

London to Brighton

For those looking for a one-day challenge, TTF is also organising a shorter, closer-to-home cycle event on 16 May – riding from London to Brighton. This event is proudly sponsored by construction company, Morgan Sindall Construction, long-standing supporters and superstar fundraisers for the charity.

Jenni Anderson, The Talent Foundry Chief Executive (and cycle addict) said:

“I want to thank everyone who has cycled with us, sponsored us, or cheered us on. You help us to support young people to open doors and create new opportunities. Last year’s ride was unforgettable (not just for the weather), and I am so excited to see what we’ll achieve together on the roads from Prague to Munich, and from London to Brighton.

"The continuation of these epic and unique challenges is because of the generosity of our amazing partners and sponsors, supported by their clients and supply chain. Together we are pedalling towards a brighter future for all young people."

The Talent Foundry is a social mobility charity that partners with industry to deliver programmes for young people in underserved schools, equipping them with core employability skills and the confidence to succeed. The annual bike ride is one of the charity’s most significant fundraising events, raising both money and awareness for its vital work.
