To celebrate Trustees' Week, The Talent Foundry Board of Trustees is delighted to welcome Catherine Murphy as trustee.

Catherine is currently the Head of Finance at the Houses of Parliament Renewal and Restoration Delivery Authority, responsible for financial management across the company.

She is an experienced finance professional, and is a chartered accountant in public finance, spending much of her career leading finance teams across local government organisations.

Catherine has also worked for KPMG, where she led corporate transformation programmes.

Before moving into finance Catherine was a teacher, where she taught Geography at an outstanding comprehensive school in inner London, as part of the TeachFirst programme.

Catherine Murphy said:

“I am really excited about the opportunity I’ve been given to join the Talent Foundry Board. Having both attended and taught at schools in underserved communities I am profoundly aware of the challenges facing these young people and passionate about delivering equal opportunity for all.

"Having already been fortunate enough to meet some of the Talent Foundry staff and partners, I’ve been incredibly impressed by the passion and commitment on display and can’t wait to get stuck in!”

Sir David Bell, Chair of Trustees at The Talent Foundry said:

"Catherine brings significant financial expertise from the public and private sectors, as well as first-hand insight from the communities we are working in. On behalf of The Talent Foundry trustees, I am delighted to welcome her to the Board.”
