17th June 2022 Track to the Future!

Our successful Track to the Future programme in partnership with Network Rail is back! This week we delivered the first session to twenty Year 12 students at Fitzalan High School in Cardiff.

Over the course of the four sessions, the students are tasked with planning and launching a new train station. Each workshop focuses on a different stage of the project lifecycle. This week, the students were introduced to the project and were asked to set their aims and objectives.

Students will develop key transferable skills such as innovation and creativity, while also learning about key competencies such as accountability, collaboration, and responding to challenging situations. They will also have the opportunity to engage with mentors from Network Rail and developed key transferable skills through four highly interactive and engaging sessions exploring the rail industry, specifically Rail Infrastructure and Asset Management.
